Our verdict
For a trip under about three weeks, the cheapest headline is not ours: Wifio advertises from €3.30 a day and HippocketWifi from €3.95, and if your stay is a week and your usage fits their allowances, book one of those. Past roughly three weeks the maths inverts, because our rate falls and theirs does not: after day 30 each extra day is €1, so 90 days is €143 against roughly €297–356 at those flat day-rates. We rank ourselves first on the strength of long stays, truly uncapped data with no daily allowance to run out of, up to 10 devices, and a native NOS/Vodafone line rather than roaming. Backpackwifi is the closest thing to a like-for-like Portuguese rival — unlimited, 10 devices, CTT returns — though it publishes no prices on its landing page.
